My Inspiration
Story's Behind the Art...
Traveling abroad, with camera in hand, I take photos and document things that catch my eye, or inspire me. Scenes that I just have to paint, and hopefully pictures that tell a story. Click on the following 5 icons below to view the places I have been to. The links are categorized as different continents and countries.
The place I have worked the longest is Georgetown, Guyana - I was there for 2 years.. This gave me an opportunity to paint many subject matters like a Rasta man. I happened to be at the local grocery store, when I spotted him. I had never seen anyone like this before. This magnificent Rasta-haired gentleman was dressed in long orange colored attire down passed his knees. With beads around his neck - It looked like his necessities needed were placed in his hair, on his chest, held together by safety pins. I asked him if I could take a photo of him with a gift of the equivalent of 10.00 US dollars for his trouble.
